I will say right away: this topic should be considered, as it were, in a special plane, or something … What do I mean? I explain. I am a supporter of the opinion that marketing in business is everything. And I once wrote that 90% of your time, efforts, thoughts should be directed to marketing, to search and retain customers. And marketing, as a specific task, is not in the list of 10 main tasks of the entrepreneur. In order not to allow misunderstandings, I decrypt. You need to look like this: you have a task, it is out of the 10 main ones that you will see below. This task, first of all, should achieve your marketing goals. Simply put, the 10 main tasks of an entrepreneur, listed below, are a tool to get more customers, which is marketing. And this, accordingly, more profit, right? 🙂 Why else open your own business, because …

So, I present:

10 main tasks that an entrepreneur must solve
I want to note that for some reason I will expose them in this way, but I do not say that they should be located just like that. It’s hard for me to judge what is more important for someone, or rather, not for anyone, but in which business. Therefore, I will simply list a list called “the main tasks of the entrepreneur,” and you decide for yourself which one, in which place should be located.

1. Planning
This is not a simple writing of a business plan, especially, according to a template downloaded on the network. Everyone can write a business plan (by template, especially). Another thing is how such a plan is competent and effective. But realistically not everyone can plan their business, choose the right direction and build a strategic development plan, unfortunately. Simply because there is no understanding of the value of this. Well, I won’t go deeper, the topic is a little different.

2. Organization
Organize your business so that the business grows and develops not what the main task, but the real duty (!) Of the entrepreneur. Well, if he is committed to development, of course. If not, you are not obliged :-). Organizing your business means bringing order, introducing competent work schemes, and ensuring a sufficiently high level of business functioning. Simply put, to establish business processes so that not every little thing calls the director or owner.

3. Delegation
To a certain extent, it is part of the previous paragraph. Delegate tasks and responsibilities, and do it competently and efficiently, in fact, the main task of the entrepreneur. If you know how to do this, success is almost guaranteed. I really believe in that. Just, don’t think that it’s so easy – I found the performer, I gave the order, that’s all. As if not quite so. Well, okay … again distracted :-).

4. Motivation
Personnel motivation is the most important task of an entrepreneur. Doing business yourself is not so simple. I repeat, do business, and not work for yourself. These are different things. Therefore, we need employees. But how they work for you depends more on you than on themselves.

5. Control
In business, you have to control everything. Must measure and control absolutely everything. The control of all business processes without exceptions is also quite justified in our list of “10 main tasks of an entrepreneur”. By the way, I wrote about this more than once.

6. Team building
I already said that you should motivate employees. But you still have to combine them, create a team that will work for the benefit of a common goal, i.e. Your business, oddly enough. In principle, to be honest, I know entrepreneurs whose employees do not want to see each other, but this is rather an exception, I hope :-). Seriously, in fact, if you can unite your employees and create a team, a lot of things will be easier.

7. Training
Again the same topic … almost. You motivated employees, you combined them, but they still need to be trained. For the inattentive – not to train, but to train. Yes, yes … And in the classical sense, to teach sales, negotiations, etc. (except, of course, when you have hired super specialists), and in the corporate sense, I’ll call it that way – teach your company values, your approaches, rules, etc.
